This website was created in the memory of our loved one, Naima Simone Phillips-Maund who was born in London, United Kingdom on March 29, 2006. After a difficult pregnancy and labour (resulting in an emergency c-section) our beautiful girl Naima was born 10:38pm 29th March 2006 at Queen Mary's Hospital Sidcup (London), weighing 6lb 15oz. Six hours after birth, at (approx.) 04:30am 30th March Naima collapsed, as a result of perinatal asphyxia. Naima was resuscitated and put on a ventilator but she never fully recovered and did not regain consciousness.
On Naima's 2 week birthday, 12th April, following her baptism the ventilator was removed and 20 minutes later, Naima was free of her suffering and passed away in the arms of her Mum and Dad. May our beautiful baby girl now rest in peace, you will always be in our hearts and minds.
Your loving parents
Joan & Chris Phillips-Maund
Naima (pronounced Nye-ee-ma) meaning Benevolent
We are please to announce the arrival of Naima's sister Zara Naomi Phillips-Maund born 11:28am 26th May 2007.
